The Derbyshire Hotel, Derby
The Derbyshire is a contemporary four-star hotel adjacent to junction 28 of the M1. The hotel is convenient for visitors to Derby or Nottingham or the natural beauty of the Peak district. There are 157 bedrooms, including 20 Executive rooms. All guestrooms are comfortable and spacious yet welcoming. Facilities at the Derbyshire Hotel include the well-appointed Chatterley’s restaurant, and a cosy lounge bar which is great for after-dinner drinks. The hotel also hides a surprisingly large selection of conferencing spaces and a fitness centre with gym, pool, Jacuzzi and relaxing spa.
Ettington Chase, Stratford-upon-Avon
Ettington Chase can be found nestled into an attractive area of landscaped gardens and parkland. The hotel is located in the town of Ettington close to Stratford upon Avon, famous as the Shakespeare’s birthplace, so there is much to see and do within a few miles of this venue. Access to this traditional hotel with its 11 acres of grounds is made easy thanks to its position within reach of the M40. Also like many of Principal Hayley’s other venues, Ettington Chase features flexible and well-equipped meeting and event facilities which are suitable for all sorts of activities, accommodating up to 200 delegates.
Kenwood Hall, Sheffield
The Kenwood Hall boasts a top location amid 12 acres of trees and lakes, and yet is just a mile from the centre of Sheffield. The hotel, formerly the Sheffield Marriott, is separated into traditional and modern areas. The restaurant and central facilities are impressively designed and furnished and show a more up-to-date side, while other areas offer a glimpse of the original style. Thanks to its surroundings, many rooms in the hotel boast excellent views. Meanwhile, it is easy to reach the nearby countryside as well as the businesses and attractions of Sheffield.
The Royal York Hotel and Events Centre, York
Behind the traditional Victorian façade of the Royal York Hotel is a modern hotel and conference centre. A recent a multi-million pound refurbished has turned the hotel into a refreshed four-star destination close to York Rail Station and the centre of the historic city of York. The Royal York Hotel has 167 classically designed guestrooms ideal for business travellers, with additional selection of standard rooms in the main building or contemporary rooms in the newer garden wing. The Events Centre has a its own entrance and a range of 15 meeting spaces capable of accommodating up to 410 delegates.
Sedgebrook Hall, Northampton
Sedgebrook Hall is another of the Principal Hayley group’s countryside hotels and is a modern hotel is a historic setting. The first thing you will notice is the impressive Victorian house, while there are 13 acres of landscaped grounds to explore in which are hidden the venue’s other newer buildings. The hotel has a good location close to central motorways, near the market town of Northampton, making access to the hotel reasonably straightforward. Sedgebrook Hall is ideal all manner of meetings and functions; there are 23 spaces which can be used for groups of up to 200 guests.
